Wairunga was purchased by PH and Dora Parker in 1919. Run as a sheep and beef farm until Tony and Robby took over the farm and established a Romney Stud which ran for 52 years. The golf course was established in 1997 by Tony Parker and his son John who now runs the farm along with his wife, Paulette.
