The walk starts at the main house and makes its way through native bush remnants and over farmland up to a 520 metre summit with panoramic views taking in the Pacific Ocean, north to Napier and west across the layered landscape to the ranges.

It is 10.2 km long and should take 3.5-4.5 hours. A reasonable level of fitness is required. This walk is only available to guests staying in the cottages.

There are also shorter walks through native bush reserves and Mohi Bush Reserve next door. Native birdlife includes Kereru (Wood Pigeons), Tuis, Bell Birds, Shining Cuckoos and the only population of Riflemen in Hawkes Bay outside of the Ranges.
